It's fair to say this seen we have seen superb auditions as well as acts that are real contenders to potentially win this season, and others who may be under the radar. But there is one contestant especially from this week's most recent episode that I think could be the real dark horse this year. With hat being country singer, Jesse Joe. And here are some of the reasons why I think he has what it takes to really surprise us
The Audition:
Despite a few criticisms, he still managed to leave a huge impression. As I loved his audition, followed by his band, "The 96's" And the song he did "Grinestone" already feels like a hit song that could easily climb it's way to the charts. Not only does he have a great voice, but to me, he also he has this superstar glow to him just like we've seen with other country artists on seasons past. That being said, he'll be able to use this to his advantage and really surprise us.
How well Country music has down:
Over the years, we have seen many country singing acts making it really far on the show, with the most case, being Semi Finalists, & even Finalists. With some of those being:
Jimmy Rose (Season 8, 3rd Place)
Kendai Dodds (Season 15, Finalist)
Drake Milligan (Season 17, 3rd Place)
Chapel Hart (Season 17, 5th Place)
Mitch Rosell (Season 18, Semi Finalist)
Ashes & Arrows, (Season 19, Semi Finalist)
Steve Ray Ladson, (Season 20, Finalist)
The backing from the public:
As shown above, Country has made a massive impact on the show in terms of voting and how much the public seem to root behind them. So if Jesse is able to play his cards right, he could easily get the backing from the public and get the votes which could carry him the whole way.
Of all the acts so far going into the live shows. I think Jesse has what it takes to be a real surprise this season and I think we could be in for a shocker!
